The story behindthe standard.
Benny's standard was set before he ever touched a mortgage file.
He served in the United States Navy — where the culture is simple: when there's work to be done, you do it completely, accurately, and without delay. That's not a professional philosophy for Benny. It's just how he operates. The mortgage industry didn't teach him urgency or discipline. He arrived with both.
After the Navy, he spent years in consultative sales — luxury automotive, home services, high-touch client environments — learning how to read people quickly, match their energy, and deliver an experience that felt personal rather than transactional. Every industry was different. The skill set was the same.
When he found mortgage, everything clicked. The product complexity, the client relationships, the satisfaction of helping someone cross a finish line that actually matters — it fit. Benny works primarily with veterans and first-time homebuyers, two groups he's genuinely invested in. For the veterans, it's a shared language and a shared standard. For the first-timers, it's the chance to do what he loves most: take someone who's been dreaming about owning a home and make it real.
He describes his approach simply: get the task, execute it perfectly, get it off the desk. His clients feel that from the first conversation. Nothing lingers. Nothing stalls. When Benny's on a file, it moves.
Tell him what you need. By the time most LOs are still thinking about it, Benny's already done.
