The story behind
the move.
Evan didn't come up in mortgage. He came up in science.
After studying biology, chemistry, and business at university, he spent years as a technical sales engineer in the biomedical and lab equipment space — selling highly complex solutions to research institutions and laboratories that required as much patience as they did expertise. It's a specific kind of sales that either breaks you or builds something lasting: deep consultative fluency, the ability to translate complexity into clarity, and a genuine investment in the client's outcome rather than just the close.
Corporate limitations eventually did what they always do to people wired this way. He outgrew it and left.
Real estate and mortgage were the natural landing. Evan spent six years building his foundation in Texas — learning the market, learning the products, and building the kind of local relationships that only come from genuine community involvement. Colorado came next, and it stuck. He's been building a book of business in the Denver area, establishing himself with local Realtors, and is now leading the charge on Olympus Financial's first Colorado branch.
He and Josh have been friends for over fifteen years — which means Evan didn't join Olympus because it was available. He joined because he knew exactly what it was and what it could do for his clients.
The consultative approach that served him in a lab now serves homebuyers and investors across two states. The problems are different. The mindset is the same.
Colorado isn't his market on paper. It's where he lives, works, and closes.
