How we write, review, and correct.

Mortgages are consequential. So is what we say about them. Here’s how Olympus Financial produces the content on this site.

The rules below apply to every article on Olympus Financial, every loan-officer bio, and every program page. If something on this site is wrong, out of date, or unclear, we want to hear about it — and we’ll fix it publicly.

Every article is written or reviewed by a licensed mortgage professional.

Educational articles on Olympus Financial are drafted, reviewed, or approved by a licensed loan officer on our team. Every published article carries a named byline and a reviewer credit that includes the reviewer’s NMLS ID and a link to their full profile.

If an article is drafted with the assistance of a research team or contract writer, a licensed originator on the Olympus team reviews it end to end before publication. The person named on the article is accountable for it. You can verify any NMLS ID we cite at nmlsconsumeraccess.org.

Primary sources for anything factual.

Factual claims about loan programs, guidelines, regulation, and consumer rights are sourced to primary references, not to secondary summaries or aggregator sites.

Sources we rely on

Investor-specific guidelines (jumbo, DSCR, non-QM) reflect the programs we actively originate. When a guideline is investor-specific rather than agency, we say so.

Every article passes a compliance review before it publishes.

Before any article, program page, or landing page goes live, it clears an internal review focused on three things:

Content that touches on regulated advertising language (rate quotes, APR, payment illustrations) goes to a separate lane — not evergreen content. See below.

Evergreen articles don’t quote rates or payments.

Mortgage rates move daily. Payment terms depend on credit, LTV, program, occupancy, and dozens of other variables. Publishing a specific rate or a specific payment in an evergreen article would trigger Regulation Z disclosure requirements (12 CFR §1026.24) and would also mislead readers the moment the market moved.

So we don’t. Evergreen content on Olympus Financial explains how programs work, what qualifies, and what to prepare — not what today’s numbers are. Live pricing is delivered inside a controlled, disclosed rate-quote flow where the required TILA / Loan Estimate framework applies.

If you see a specific rate, APR, or dollar payment in an Olympus article, treat it as an error and email corrections@olympusfinancial.co.

Corrections are dated and public.

If we make a factual mistake, we correct it and mark it. Substantive corrections — not typos — are noted at the bottom of the affected article with the correction date and a one-line description of what changed.

Every article carries a Last updated date in the byline. When we materially update an article (a guideline changes, a regulation is amended, we sharpen guidance based on what closed), we refresh that date and, when the change is substantive, log it in the corrections note.

Educational, not personalized financial or legal advice.

Articles on Olympus Financial are educational. They explain how mortgage products, guidelines, and processes work. They are not personalized financial, tax, or legal advice, and reading an article does not create a broker-borrower or attorney-client relationship.

Loans and rate quotes are personal — they depend on your credit, income, property, and market at the time you apply. Nothing on this site should be treated as an offer to lend or a commitment to lend. Any actual loan is subject to a full application, underwriting review, and required consumer disclosures.

No paid placements. No sponsored recommendations.

Olympus does not accept paid product placements from investors, servicers, or third-party vendors inside editorial content. When we recommend a program — for example, DSCR versus conventional for an investor scenario — the recommendation reflects our judgment of what fits, not a compensation arrangement.

Olympus is compensated in the ordinary course of originating and closing loans. Broker compensation is disclosed on your Loan Estimate as required by federal regulation, and correspondent compensation is reflected in program pricing.
